In addition to the music of J. S. Bach, I love to play parlour music and Ragtime pieces from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. I find this music comforting and entertaining, as well as being interesting from an historical perspective. I especially love how it reminds me of a time when most people had a piano in the home! Here's one of my favourites:

So, I've put together a recital program of vintage piano sheet music. The program runs for about an hour and is ideal for seniors, adults and youth. The pieces featured are similar to the one above and include a mix of up-tempo and relaxed, sentimental parlour type pieces. The sheet music also has some delightful cover art which, if desired, can be projected onto a screen to accompany the performance.
